Assistant General Manager Required for Gastro Pub –Salary £28,000 plus grats

KSB Recruitment is looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager to join a friendly team at a beautiful country pub. The Pub offers a great service where the guest always comes first and the standards are set high. The menu offers modern British food that includes traditional classics, burger selection, and many vegan options as well as Sunday lunch. In the fresh and cosy pub, there are various options outsides to enjoy during a visit including bespoke cabins and cosy huts. This is the perfect opportunity for an Assistant General Manager looking to work for a popular gastropub that serves great food and has a lively atmosphere all week! You will ideally take a hands-on approach and greatly understand targets and results whilst bringing creative flair to the team. 

The Role:

• General management of the restaurant and bar is a very ‘hands-on’ manager in this busy fresh food-led establishment.
• Interact with customers (including serving food and drink) and ensure that high standards of customer service are maintained at all times and every customer has a great experience
• Manage and co-ordinate reservations, events, and large bookings
• Recruiting, training, and motivating your staff
• Doing regular stock-takes and ordering as necessary
• Handling deliveries
• Liaising with the kitchen
• Managing a team of 50+
• Ensure all Covid Policies are adhered to by staff and customers
• Resolving any issues and adaption to any situation that may arise
• Report weekly figures and customer feedback to the owner

Requirements:

• You must have excellent knowledge and passion for quality food and wine and a high level of service standards.
• Be a leader who inspires and creates a fun environment at work
• The ideal person for this role MUST have experience working within a quality Gastro pub/restaurant and be used to a busy environment.
• The capability to respond positively to pressure.
• The ability to set and meet targets
• Excellent staff management and leadership skills, plus excellent communication and social skills
