Head Chef – Exciting Opportunity in Birmingham
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen at a well-established hotel near Birmingham. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in delivering exceptional food, this is an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills and drive culinary excellence.
About the Role:
- Full-time | 45 hours per week
- Covers: Restaurant service & banqueting for up to 200 guests
- Salary: Up to £50,000 per year, depending on experience
- Bonus: Experience with woodfired pizza is a plus, as it’s a local favourite
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all kitchen operations to ensure a seamless and high-quality dining experience
- Develop and inspire a skilled kitchen team, fostering a culture of excellence
- Maintain exceptional standards in food preparation, presentation, and service
- Oversee menu development, bringing creativity and innovation to dishes
- Manage food costs, stock control, and supplier relationships
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Work closely with the management team to drive business success
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef in a high-volume kitchen
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Passion for fresh, high-quality ingredients and innovative menu ideas
- Ability to perform under pressure and maintain high standards
- Experience with banqueting, à la carte service, and kitchen management
- Strong understanding of cost control, stock management, and supplier negotiation
