KSB Recruitment are looking for an experienced Head Chef to work in a busy modern hotel in a wonderful coastal location. This is the perfect opportunity for a Head Chef to work in a hotel located on an exclusive inlet reached by a causeway off the Hampshire coast. You will be cooking for guests enjoying a relaxing stay and stunning views overlooking a harbour. This is not an opportunity to be missed so don't hesitate to apply!
The Role:
- Supervision and management of all of the catering team members
- Responsibility for ordering, monitoring and controlling food stocks within budget
- Ensuring that Food Safety requirements are met
- Working with fresh, seasonal ingredients to create British Classic Dishes
- Must be hands-on, passionate, and take great pride in food production.
- Able to create your own menu, using fresh seasonal produce
- Able to modify dishes to meet customers dietary requirements
- Competent understanding of all regulations, food hygiene and company specifications
- Be a leader for the rest of the kitchen brigade to follow
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Head Chef
- Excellent time management skills
- Willing to work well as part of a team and developing other chefs
- Be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards work
- Actively participating in training and development programs
- Performing all tasks to a consistent standard
- Demonstrating an understanding and an awareness of all policies and procedures relating to health, hygiene, fire safety, licensing and employment and complying with them accordingly
