KSB Recruitment is working with a contemporary independent hotel that is based in the heart of Shropshire. They are currently looking for a Sous Chef to join their well-established team. Working with fresh and seasonal produce this hotel & restaurant is dedicated to developing its staff with the kitchen team through personal training and development. This establishment has a friendly and relaxed approach, however, it continually works to the highest of standards and delivers excellent memorable customer service.
What is our client looking for from the successful Sous Chef?
- Must be competent in working on all sections of the kitchen with limited supervision.
- Have detailed knowledge of classical and modern cooking techniques.
- Be able to work under the highest of pressures delivering food to a high standard.
- Ensure that the kitchen is prepared for service and that Mise en Place is completed.
- Work closely with junior members of the team to help grow and develop them through the brigade.
The Sous Chef should have a highly impressive career background, having built their expert understanding of quality cuisine. Alongside your operational culinary talent, we need the successful chef to have an inspirational management style and be exceptionally passionate about the development of their team.
Due to our rural location, candidates will ideally have access to their own transport.
