Sous Chef- Restaurant Café Daytime Hours Beautiful location, Goudhurst Kent

KSB Recruitment is recruiting a Sous Chef for a family friendly restaurant / café based in a beautiful woodland location. This busy restaurant is open 7 days a week and is particularly busy during holidays and sunny days. Offering a range of hot and cold lunches all prepared daily and carefully selected local seasonal daily specials. Priding themselves on producing a menu that is wholesome, fresh and full of flavour. This is a fantastic opportunity and one not to be missed.

What we are looking for:

• Work with fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients
• Support and assist in the smooth running of the café / restaurant
• Communication with FOH team is at its very best all the time
• Food Stock levels are at correct levels
• Able to modify dishes to meet customers dietary requirements
• Cooking high standard food for all guests
• Able to prepare a high volume of food
• Competent understanding of all regulations, food hygiene and company specifications
• Able to work shift patterns that include weekends, school and public holidays

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Sous Chef or similar role
• Excellent time management skills
• Willing to work well as part of a team
• Be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment
• Have great attention to detail
• Able to motivate and inspire the whole kitchen team
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards work!
