Head Chef required for modern and stylish restaurant/pub in Northamptonshire

KSB Recruitment are looking for an experienced Head Chef to work in a beautiful village pub. This job role is more than just a Head Chef position as there is access to 2 onsite allotments to grow their own vegetables and herbs and the owners encourage foraging in the local area. The 100% fresh and home-grown produce is cooked to perfection by a dedicated kitchen team who make everything on site including stock, butter and ice cream. This role is perfect for a Head Chef who knows how to utilise the fantastic ingredients to produce modern English food with a Mediterranean twist.

The Role:

• Work with fresh and locally sourced ingredients
• Work closely with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure all food production is to a high standard
• The seasonal menu changed every 4 weeks
• Communication with the FOH team is at its very best all the time
• Check Food Stock levels are correct
• Able to modify dishes to meet customers dietary requirements
• Cooking high standard food for all guests
• Able to prepare a high volume of food
• Competent understanding of all regulations, food hygiene, and company specifications
• Be able to keep the award-winning standards at all times

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Head Chef 
• Good butchery skills as meat brought in and butchered on-site
• Excellent time management skills
• Willing to work well as part of a team
• Someone who will invest in the ethos of the fresh ingredients 
• Be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment 
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude towards work!
