Head Chef Golf Club Shropshire

KSB Recruitment are working with a luxury golf course and events centre to find an outstanding Head Chef for this beautifully located multi-site venue. Set in the picturesque Shropshire countryside it offers a golf course, accommodation, club house, café, fine dining, weddings and opening in 2022 a large banqueting suite and offers no better place to escape. The Role:

  • Supervision and management of all of the catering team members
  • Development and performance monitoring of your team, ensuring measures and feedback are undertaken in a timely
  • Planning and working to set guidelines, for labour, food cost and wastage, ensuring costs are kept within budgets
  • Responsibility for ordering, monitoring and controlling food stocks within budget
  • Ensuring that food quality and food production is in line with departmental specifications
  • Ensuring that Food Safety requirements are met by you
  • Ensuring that you, your direct reports and those working within your areas of responsibility
  • Have up to date knowledge of industry trends to ensure customers are offered an exceptional dining experience
  • Identifying the needs of our individual and corporate clients and providing a selection of suitable menus
  • Playing an active role in the New Members evenings’ by providing menu tasters

Requirements:

  • Maintaining an appropriate attitude to reflect and promote the image of the Club, representing the company in a professional manner at all times
  • Familiarising yourself with the Company Vision and Values
  • Actively participating in training and development programs
  • Working to agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Performing all tasks to a consistent standard as detailed within departmental guidelines and in accordance with best practice procedures
  • Minimising operating costs by using all equipment and products in accordance with Company or Manufacturers’ guidelines       
  • Striving to anticipate member and visitor needs wherever possible
  • Demonstrating an understanding and an awareness of all policies and procedures relating to health, hygiene, fire safety, licensing and employment and complying with them accordingly
  • Working alternate weekends on a rota basis
  • Adapting work practices to facilitate working harmoniously as part of a diverse team with colleagues from different viewpoints, cultures and countries
