Offering contemporary dining serving the finest local produce, the hotel has a luxury feel for all guests staying.

The Role:

• Responsible for the overall running of the pastry area
• To produce and deliver a variety of dishes to a high standard of preparation, production, and presentation
• Ensure guest's expectations are exceeded through consistent service and product delivery
• Aim to achieve required standards of food service while ensuring that profitability targets are met
• Under the direction of the Head Chef, prepare and produce food as directed using modern methods, equipment, and fresh food.
• Ensure that the section operates effectively daily
• Maintain a sufficient mise en place for Afternoon tea / Lunch and Dinner service.
• Provide junior members of the kitchen team with support in training and development so that service and product delivery is consistent

Requirements:

• 2 years experience in a similar role
• NVQ Level 2 as a minimum
• Worked in a minimum 2 rosette standard
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to demonstrate good food production
• Ability to work under the pressure of a busy kitchen
• Confident and positive attitude toward working
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team
