Junior Sous Chef for a luxury Golf and Lodge resort

Join our team at a luxury golf and lodge resort just a few miles outside of our historic market town, currently undergoing major development. Upcoming developments include a new Member’s Bar in our beautifully situated Lake House, serving our Golf Members, Lodge Owners, Society Days and Private Events. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality dishes and exceptional service to our guests. Our resort features fresh produce, offering a unique dining experience. We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Junior Sous Chef to help us achieve our culinary vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation & Cooking: Create and prepare high-quality dishes, ensuring the best quality food is produced consistently.
  • Kitchen Management: Oversee the food preparation process and manage your kitchen sections during service, maintaining high standards at all times.
  • Team Support: Support and assist other team members, providing guidance and managing junior staff.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines and maintain excellent food hygiene standards.
  • Stock Management: Handle ordering and stock rotation to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked with fresh ingredients.

Requirements:

  • Passion for Fresh Food: A genuine passion for working with fresh ingredients and creating high-quality dishes.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in a similar role, demonstrating the ability to manage kitchen sections and support a team effectively.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor junior team members.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail to ensure high standards of food quality and hygiene are met.
  • Team Player: A collaborative approach to working within a team, supporting colleagues, and contributing to a positive kitchen environment.
  • L1 & L2 Food Safety Awards
  • Hold a minimum NVQ L2 in Catering
  • L2 Health and Safety in the Workplace Award
