We are looking for a talented and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. In this fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality food is served while managing a high volume of covers. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation.
- Manage kitchen staff, ensuring efficient operations and maintaining a positive team environment.
- Maintain quality and consistency during high-volume service, particularly on event days.
- Innovate and contribute to menu development, incorporating current food trends and seasonal ingredients.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Oversee stock levels and order supplies as needed, managing costs without compromising on quality.
- Be adaptable and responsive to the dynamic needs of a busy sporting venue.
Requirements:
- Culinary Experience: A proven track record in a robust culinary career, with significant experience in high-volume event catering environments.
- Motivation and Creativity: A highly motivated individual with a creative flair, ready to bring fresh ideas to our kitchen.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous in your approach to food preparation and presentation, with a keen eye for detail.
- Trend Awareness: Up-to-date with the latest culinary trends and capable of incorporating them into our menus.
- Stress Management: Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle the fast-paced demands of event catering.
- HACCP and COSHH Knowledge: Strong understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.
- Certification: Possession of a Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate is mandatory.
- Driving Licence: A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate easy commuting to the venue.
