KSB Recruitment are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to work in a beautiful village pub. Recently having undergone a full refurbishment this pub serves modern British food and has a large steakhouse selection. The restaurant offers a relaxed and elegant place to sample fresh, seasonal and where possible locally sourced food. You will be working alongside a motivated kitchen team and serving great food that caters for everyone. This role is perfect for a Sous Chef looking to take on a new opportunity.
The Role:
- Cooking high standard food for all guests
- Producing freshly cooked traditional pub food
- Overseeing/ supporting the Head Chef with their duties
- Working at a timely manner whilst maintaining high standards
- Able to modify dishes to meet customers dietary requirements
- Be prepared to take charge when the Head Chef is out of the kitchen
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen
Requirements:
- Experience working as a Sous Chef in a similar fresh food environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Have the confidence to take charge of the kitchen when the Head Chef is unavailable
- Willing to work well as part of a team
- Be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment
