Salary: £33,000–£35,000 per annum (DOE)

Serving freshly prepared homemade food, a fantastic selection of real ales and hosting popular weekly events, this pub has built a loyal following with both locals and visitors. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Manager to take ownership of the front-of-house operation, working closely with the Head Chef and management team to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
Leading a front-of-house team of six, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the pub, ensuring exceptional service standards while supporting the commercial success of the business.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a front-of-house team of six.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest.
- Oversee the daily front-of-house operation, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure seamless communication between the kitchen and front of house.
- Manage stock control, ordering and supplier relationships.
- Monitor and support profit and loss performance.
- Set, monitor and drive team KPIs.
- Assist with staff training, rota planning and performance management.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, presentation and compliance are maintained throughout the venue.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an Assistant Manager or supervisory role within hospitality.
- Excellent front-of-house and customer service skills.
- Proven ability to lead, coach and motivate a team.
- Experience with stock control, ordering and operational management.
- Good commercial awareness with an understanding of profit and loss.
- Organised, hands-on and able to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends, bank holidays and busy trading periods.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport, due to the rural location.
