Assistant Manager

Location: Leicester City Centre
Salary: £35,000 per annum + Performance Bonus
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Role

Support the successful and well-established Italian restaurant in the heart of Leicester City Centre. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Manager to play a key role in the day-to-day running of a thriving business with an excellent reputation, a loyal customer base and a fantastic team already in place.

You'll work closely with the General Manager, supporting the leadership of the restaurant, driving commercial performance, delivering exceptional guest experiences and helping to build on the venue's continued success.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager with the day-to-day operation of the restaurant.

• Lead, motivate and develop the front and back-of-house team.

• Take responsibility for the restaurant in the General Manager's absence.

• Help drive sales, profitability and business growth through strong operational leadership.

• Deliver an outstanding guest experience and maintain the restaurant's excellent reputation.

• Support with budgets, labour costs, stock control and profit margins.

• Analyse business performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue.

• Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure seamless service and consistently high food standards.

• Maintain compliance with licensing, health & safety and food safety regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager or senior hospitality supervisor within a quality restaurant or premium dining environment.

• Proven ability to support sales growth, profitability and the successful operation of a hospitality business.

• Strong commercial awareness with experience supporting budgets and financial performance.

• Excellent leadership and people management skills with a passion for developing teams.

• Ability to take initiative and identify opportunities to improve business performance.

• Strong understanding of the Leicester hospitality market and customer expectations.

• Passion for delivering exceptional food, service and memorable guest experiences.
