Assistant Manager

Location: Leicester City Centre
Salary: £35,000 per annum + Performance Bonus
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Role

Support the management of a busy sports bar in the heart of Leicester City Centre, playing a key role in driving revenue, developing the team and delivering an outstanding customer experience. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Manager who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and has a strong track record of supporting commercial success.

You'll work closely with the General Manager to help shape the business, maximise revenue and establish the bar as one of Leicester's leading sports and entertainment destinations. You'll also take responsibility for the venue in the General Manager's absence.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager with the day-to-day operation of the venue.

• Take responsibility for the venue and lead the team in the General Manager's absence.

• Support the development and delivery of strategies to increase sales, profitability and customer footfall.

• Lead, motivate and develop the management and front-of-house teams.

• Analyse business performance and identify opportunities to grow revenue.

• Support with managing weekly sales and ensuring strong financial performance.

• Assist with controlling budgets, labour costs, stock and profit margins.

• Help create and deliver successful promotions, events and sports-led experiences.

• Maintain exceptional customer service standards and ensure full licensing and health & safety compliance.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Assistant Manager, Deputy Manager or senior hospitality supervisor within a sports bar, pub, late-night venue or similar hospitality business.

• Proven experience supporting the growth and successful operation of a busy hospitality venue.

• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to understand business performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Excellent leadership, coaching and people management skills.

• Experience supporting the management of sales, labour, stock and operational costs.

• Good knowledge of the local hospitality market and customer trends.

• Organised, driven and confident working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of responsibility.
