Are you looking for a new opportunity in a breathtaking location? We are seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the team at a luxury hotel in the stunning surroundings of Pembrokeshire.

About the Role:

As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager and Head Chef in ensuring the smooth operation of an award-winning restaurant. You will be responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience, supervising daily operations, and leading a dedicated team to maintain the highest standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily food and beverage operations, anticipating guests’ needs and ensuring exceptional service.
  • Oversee breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, ensuring consistent quality and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of wine and food pairings, and ensure your team is well-versed in menu offerings.
  • Manage Point of Sale (POS) systems and reservation systems efficiently.
  • Monitor sales, oversee upselling standards, and handle cashing up and end-of-day reconciliations.
  • Conduct team briefings and meetings in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.
  • Foster strong working relationships with the Kitchen Brigade and other departments to deliver a seamless guest experience.
  • Be present for key events and busy periods, including weddings, holidays, and special occasions.
  • Perform duty management shifts, including being on call as required.

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or Supervisor in a fine dining environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and develop your team.
  • Strong attention to detail, superb personal presentation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
