An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Assistant Restaurant Manager to support our client's team at a bustling 100-cover restaurant in Diss. We are looking for an individual with a vibrant personality who can effortlessly front the restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daily restaurant operations to ensure a high-quality dining experience for our guests.
  • Supervise and support the front-of-house team, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints efficiently and professionally.
  • Aid the Restaurant Manager with administrative duties such as scheduling, inventory management, and reporting.
  • Managing rotas, including scheduling, staffing levels, and holidays.


  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations.
  • Excellent work ethic with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Availability to work primarily daytime shifts, with flexibility for one late shift on Fridays.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required, with overtime pay provided.
  • Ability to handle various administrative tasks including rotas, costing, and recruitment.
