Catering Assistant – Café
Location: Milton Keynes, MK9
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (30-minute unpaid break)
Contract: Ongoing
Start Date: Monday 19th October 2026
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Catering Assistant to join our team at a café in Milton Keynes.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a café environment, supporting the kitchen team, and providing friendly service to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Head Chef with basic food preparation.
- Washing up and keeping kitchen equipment clean.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the café.
- Supporting food service and serving customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Keeping work areas tidy, organised, and safe.
- Following food hygiene and health and safety procedures.
Requirements:
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when required.
- Previous experience in a café, catering, or kitchen environment is desirable but not essential.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 30-minute unpaid break
- 30 working hours per week
