Location: Somerset, UK
Salary: £13.91 per hour
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time (including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required)

About the Role

As a Chef de Partie, you will take ownership of your designated kitchen section, ensuring the consistent preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes across a variety of menus.

Working closely with the Executive Chef and Head Chef, you will play a key role in delivering the exceptional food standards expected across all services. Whether working on the grill, larder, or supporting mise en place preparation, you will bring energy, organisation, and attention to detail to every service.

Who We’re Looking For

You are a passionate and dedicated chef with experience working across multiple kitchen sections within a professional hospitality environment.

You take pride in every plate that leaves your section, maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene, and enjoy working collaboratively as part of a busy kitchen team. You are organised, reliable, and thrive under pressure while consistently delivering quality results.

This role would suit a Chef de Partie seeking long-term career development within a respected hospitality brand.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and running your designated kitchen section efficiently
  • Preparing and presenting dishes to company standards
  • Supporting the Executive Chef and Head Chef during service
  • Working across multiple sections including grill and larder
  • Completing mise en place preparation for service periods
  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety
  • Monitoring food quality, consistency, and presentation
  • Assisting colleagues to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment
  • Supporting the delivery of exceptional guest dining experiences

 

What You’ll Need

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience at Commis Chef level looking to progress
  • Experience working across multiple kitchen sections, including grill and larder
  • A genuine passion for food preparation and presentation
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen compliance
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • High levels of organisation and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Commitment to maintaining exceptional culinary standards
