Chef de Partie
Location: Halifax
Salary: £13.50 - £15.00 Per Hour + approximately £700 per month in tips
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Flexible, 3, 3.5 or 4 days per week considered
Role
Join the kitchen team of a busy, family-run restaurant serving approximately 1,200 covers per week from a 50-cover restaurant.
The kitchen is passionate about fresh, seasonal food, including pasta which is prepared in-house. This is a hands-on environment where the whole team works together to deliver consistently high-quality food and service.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Chef de Partie looking to join a stable team, develop their skills and work in a kitchen where quality, teamwork and a healthy work-life balance are genuinely valued.
Responsibilities
- Run your section efficiently during preparation and service.
- Prepare and cook fresh, seasonal dishes to a consistently high standard.
- Work with a range of fresh produce, including in-house pasta and other items made from scratch.
- Maintain excellent standards of food quality, presentation and consistency.
- Support the Head Chef and wider kitchen team during busy services.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and organisation.
- Work collaboratively across the kitchen, supporting colleagues where required.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar professional kitchen role.
- Strong foundational cooking skills, this is not a role for someone requiring training from scratch.
- Good knowledge of fresh food and seasonal produce.
- A switched-on approach with good common sense and attention to detail.
- Reliable, professional and committed to working as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a busy, high-pressure kitchen environment.
- A genuine passion for quality food and delivering a great experience for guests.
