An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Commis Chef to join the kitchen brigade at a prestigious country house hotel nestled in the beautiful West Sussex countryside.
This luxury property is renowned for its Michelin-starred restaurant, exceptional hospitality and incredible estate, featuring one of the UK's most famous Victorian walled kitchen gardens. Working here means cooking with outstanding seasonal ingredients, many picked fresh each day from the estate itself.
This role is perfect for an ambitious chef looking to learn, develop and build a successful career in fine dining. Previous Michelin experience is welcomed but certainly not essential—what matters most is your attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
What's on offer?
- Salary:
- Live In: £31,750 per annum (before probation)
- Live Out: £33,250 per annum (includes £1,500 live-out allowance)
- Live-in accommodation available for £335 per month
- Approximately £6,000 per year in service charge
- 48-hour contract over 4 days
- Paid overtime or time off in lieu

We're looking for someone who:
- Has some previous kitchen experience or relevant culinary training
- Is passionate about cooking and working with exceptional seasonal produce
- Is eager to learn and progress within a professional kitchen
- Works well as part of a team with a positive attitude
- Michelin experience is advantageous but not essential
