Location: Staffordshire, West Midlands
Salary: £39,000 per annum + Benefits
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
Are you an experienced and passionate hospitality leader ready to make your mark at a well-established private members club? We are looking for a Food & Beverage Manager to take full ownership of front-of-house operations, deliver exceptional member experiences, and manage a busy and varied events calendar — all while achieving strong commercial results. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a keen eye for service and standards.
About Us:
We are a highly regarded private members club located in Staffordshire, offering a premium hospitality experience in a welcoming and professional environment. Our operation includes distinct spaces for members and private events, ensuring that quality service is maintained throughout. We host a variety of occasions, from casual dining to weddings and wakes, and pride ourselves on the consistency and quality of our food and service.
What We Offer:
● Competitive salary of £39,000 per annum
● Complimentary staff meals
● On-site parking available
● Golf club membership (optional)
● Future potential for performance-related bonuses
This is a full-time role, with a consistent schedule including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Two consecutive days off are provided during the week (Monday/Tuesday or Tuesday/Wednesday), and standard hours are generally 8:30 AM–4:30 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, adjusted around event timings.
Key Responsibilities:
● Oversee all aspects of the food and beverage operation, from daily service to private functions including birthdays, anniversaries, small weddings, and wakes.
● Lead and develop a front-of-house team alongside an experienced kitchen brigade.
● Maintain high service standards, team morale, and a customer-first culture.
● Manage budgets, stock, supplier relationships, scheduling, and cost control.
● Ensure health, safety, hygiene, and compliance standards are met at all times.
● Support the strategic growth and future development of F&B services in collaboration with senior leadership.
About the Operation:
The function suite is entirely separate from the member dining and bar areas, allowing events to run without affecting the core member experience. The club generates approximately £600,000 annually in F&B revenue, evenly split between food and beverage. Sunday lunch serves 60–180 covers (average 80), and Saturday breakfast averages around 45 covers, with snacks and drinks offered steadily throughout the day. The current team includes three long-standing chefs and a full complement of front-of-house staff, including 6 full-time and 8 casual team members.
Requirements:
● Proven experience in food and beverage management, preferably in private clubs, hotels, or premium restaurants.
● Strong leadership and team development skills.
● Financial acumen including stock control, cost management, and supplier negotiation.
● A hands-on, supportive, and emotionally intelligent leadership style.
● Passionate about delivering a consistent, high-quality guest experience.
● Flexible approach to hours and event-led working patterns.
