Food & Beverage Manager

Location: Staffordshire, West Midlands

Salary - £39,000 + Benefits

Permanent 40hr Contract
 

Are you a passionate and experienced hospitality leader ready to take the reins of a well-established private members club? We're seeking a Food & Beverage Manager to lead front-of-house operations, elevate the member experience, and manage a busy calendar of events — all while delivering strong commercial results.

The Role

This is a pivotal role where you'll oversee all aspects of the food and beverage operation, including daily service for members and private functions such as birthdays, anniversaries, small weddings, and wakes. You’ll be responsible for team leadership, quality control, and smooth operational delivery across multiple spaces, ensuring that events don’t impact the member experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a loyal front-of-house team alongside an experienced kitchen brigade.

  • Enhance the hospitality experience through consistent service, strong team culture, and creative menu development.

  • Take ownership of budgets, stock, supplier relationships, staff scheduling, and cost control.

  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

  • Support the long-term strategic development of F&B services in collaboration with senior leadership.

About the Operation

  • Function space is separate from the member bar and dining area.

  • The club generates around £600,000 in annual F&B turnover, split evenly between food and drink.

  • Sunday lunch sees 60–180 covers, with about 80 typical. Saturday breakfast averages 45 covers, with a steady snack service throughout the day.

  • Current team includes three chefs (long-standing Head and Assistant) and a full front-of-house team (6 full-time, 8 casuals).

Who We're Looking For

  • A confident and personable leader with strong F&B management experience (not necessarily from a golf background).

  • Skilled in supplier negotiations, menu input, stock control, and staff development.

  • Emotionally intelligent with the ability to lead by example and support a tight-knit team.

  • Someone passionate about improving standards and creating a consistent, memorable experience for guests.

Hours & Flexibility

  • 40 hours per week, including Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

  • Two consecutive midweek days off (Monday/Tuesday or Tuesday/Wednesday).

  • Typical hours: 8:30 AM–4:30 PM or 9 AM–5 PM, adjusted around event timings.
