Position: Junior Sous Chef

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming addition of a new Members' Bar in our beautifully situated Lake House, catering to Golf Members, Lodge Owners, Society Days, and Private Events. At our resort, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality dishes and exceptional service, showcasing fresh produce for a unique dining experience. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Junior Sous Chef to help us realize our culinary vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation & Cooking: Craft and prepare exquisite dishes, ensuring consistent delivery of the highest quality food.
  • Kitchen Management: Supervise food preparation and manage your kitchen sections during service, upholding the highest standards at all times.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with and assist team members, providing guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining exemplary food hygiene standards.
  • Stock Management: Oversee ordering and stock rotation to guarantee the kitchen is consistently stocked with fresh ingredients.

Requirements:

  • Passion for Fresh Food: A genuine enthusiasm for working with fresh ingredients and creating exceptional dishes.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a similar role, showcasing the ability to manage kitchen sections and effectively support a team.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with a talent for training and mentoring junior team members.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to uphold high standards of food quality and hygiene.
  • Team Player: A collaborative spirit, contributing to a positive kitchen environment and supporting colleagues.
  • Certifications: Hold L1 & L2 Food Safety Awards, a minimum NVQ Level 2 in Catering, and an L2 Health and Safety in the Workplace Award.
