Are you an experienced Leisure Manager with a background in managing swimming pool facilities, spa areas, and fitness operations? We’re looking for a Leisure Manager to lead the leisure and activities department at a thriving coastal hotel with all year-round occupancy.
About Us
This is a senior management position overseeing the full leisure operation, including indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, gym, and a wide range of activities such as archery, rifle shooting, axe throwing, tennis, bowls, and golf chipping. You’ll manage a team of 12–14 qualified leisure staff, including two team leaders, and work closely with other heads of department to deliver a seamless guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and inspire the leisure team (12–14 staff, including 2 team leaders)

Oversee day-to-day operations of all leisure facilities and activities

Ensure compliance with health & safety, particularly wet side operations

Manage departmental budgets and P&L performance

Drive guest satisfaction, activity participation, and commercial success

Develop and train team members, including lifeguard certification where needed

Innovate and introduce new leisure activities to enhance the guest experience
Requirements

Proven management experience in a leisure, activities, or sports environment

Essential: Wet side (pool) experience and lifeguard qualification (or willingness to obtain)

Strong leadership and people development skills

Ability to manage budgets and achieve commercial targets

Innovative mindset with the ability to work collaboratively across departments

Hotel background preferred but not essential
