Early Morning Shifts- Independent Café Bakery- Up to £35,000 per annum + Discretionary Bonus- Solihull 

We are currently recruiting for a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef to join a highly regarded independent café bakery located within a thriving local community. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who genuinely loves artisan pastry work and is looking to be part of a friendly, close-knit team that takes real pride in everything they produce.

This business has built an exceptional reputation for quality, consistency, and atmosphere. Although small in size, it is incredibly busy all year round, with a loyal customer base and a strong focus on handcrafted products made with care and attention to detail. This is very much a hands-on environment- not a factory operation- where quality ingredients, traditional techniques, and creativity are highly valued.

The owners are visible, approachable, and supportive, creating a positive working culture where staff feel appreciated and part of the journey. This role would suit a Pastry Chef who enjoys working within an independent setting where their skill and contribution can truly shine.

The Role

  • Early morning shifts: 4am-12pm
  • 5 days per week
  • Solihull based 
  • Saturdays or Sundays off every week, plus one additional day off
  • 35- 40 hours per week
  • Salary up to £35,000 per annum
  • Discretionary bonus scheme
  • Overtime available, either paid or taken as time off in lieu

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a Pastry Chef with strong experience within artisan pastry production, ideally from a bakery, café, or patisserie background.

Essential experience includes:

  • French pâtisserie
  • High-quality pastry production from scratch
  • Excellent attention to detail and presentation
  • Working within a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining standards

Experience across both sweet and savoury items would be highly desirable, including:

  • Viennoiserie
  • Tarts and pastries
  • Cakes and desserts
  • Savoury bakes and café-style products

We are looking for someone creative, reliable, and passionate about their craft- someone who enjoys producing exceptional products whilst being part of a supportive and hardworking team.
