Sous Chef – Head Chef
Location: Leicester
Salary: £32,000 per annum (pro rata for part-time hours)
Contract: Permanent | 35 hours for 31 weeks, 25 hours for 21 weeks
Hours: Sociable hours | 1 weekend off in 3 | Paid overtime

We’re working exclusively with a warm, private members’ golf club seeking a passionate Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and play a key role in a close-knit kitchen team.

The Role:
This is a hands-on role working alongside the Head Chef, assisting with prep, service, and managing day-to-day kitchen operations. You'll get the opportunity to build relationships with regulars and flex your culinary creativity—all without late nights or high-stress service.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting the Head Chef in daily food prep and service

• Cooking home-style, freshly prepared meals

• Helping manage up to 110 covers on society days and 24–36 covers for member matches

• Contributing ideas to seasonal menus and adapting to customer needs

• Working within a friendly, respectful kitchen culture

About You:

• You have catering qualifications (Level 2 minimum; Level 3 preferred)

• You’ve got experience in fresh food kitchens and are confident handling covers

• You work well as part of a team and can step up when needed

• You’re positive, flexible, and looking to grow with a supportive employer
