Sous Chef - Live-In
Location: Stirling, Scotland
Salary: £35,000–£38,000 per annum + Tronc
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (45 hours per week)
Role
Join the kitchen team at a stunning lakeside hotel and traditional Scottish restaurant in the Stirling area, working with fresh, seasonal and locally sourced Scottish produce.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Sous Chef to work alongside an experienced Head Chef, lead the kitchen brigade and develop their skills. Experience in rosette-awarded kitchens or fine dining would be advantageous.
With structured training and progression programmes, this role offers a clear pathway towards becoming a Head Chef.
Responsibilities

Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.

Lead and motivate the brigade to deliver consistently high-quality dishes.

Prepare and present dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients.

Assist with menu development, stock control and waste management.

Train and support junior team members.

Maintain excellent food hygiene and health and safety standards.
Requirements

Previous experience as a Sous Chef or an experienced Chef de Partie ready to step up.

Passion for fresh, seasonal cooking and high-quality food.

Rosette or fine dining experience would be beneficial.

Strong leadership, organisation and communication skills.

Positive attitude and ambition to progress.

Good understanding of food safety and kitchen management.
